Freo House Footy - Nominate
Freo House Footy is a modified game designed so that everyone can play. It is less physically demanding, has minimal time commitment with a major emphasis on fun and safety (non contact). The game enables students of all ages and ability levels to participate in male, female or mixed competitions during any school term or incorporated as part of the AFL SEPEP program.
Length of Program
Freo House Footy can be played in any term with variations to suit your school. This is a good starting point:
- All year levels can play e.g. a school may have more than one competition
- Teams can play for their Faction/House and the points could go to the Faction/House shield
- AFL 9’s rules apply
- Games can be played in PE/sport time, at lunchtime and/or after school
- Competition must run for a minimum of six games and/or weeks
REGISTRATION
- The first fifty (50) schools to register to participate will receive a FREE Freo House Footy Kit, including a class set of Freo House Footy bibs, 15 synthetic footballs, 20 markers and 1 set of portable goal posts
- All schools that register for Freo House Footy prior to the end of Term 1 will go into the draw to play an exhibition game prior to the Fremantle Dockers v GWS game on Sunday 22 July at Patersons Stadium
- Registration must be renewed each year to receive additional free resources

WAFC Year 8/9 Schoolboys Cup - Nominate
The WAFC Year 8/9 Schoolboys Cup is a statewide Year 8/9 competition played in WAFL districts and country regions producing a champion school to represent each of the nine WAFL clubs. The competition runs through Term 2 and Term 3. The Grand Final of the 2012 WAFC Year 8/9 Schoolboys Cup will be played at Patersons Stadium as the Curtain Raiser to the Round 24 Fremantle v Melbourne (Date TBA August 31 or Sept 1-2).

WAFC Schoolgirls One Day Carnivals (Year 8/9) - Nominate
WAFC Football Development Officers will organise a series of one day lightning carnivals to provide opportunities for school girls to either try football in a safe and fun environment, and/or enhance their football skills developed through their PE program.

WAFC Year 10 Schoolboys Cup
A series of one day regional lightning carnivals played during Terms 2/3. Coordinated by School Sport WA and the Associated and Catholic Colleges of WA. The winners of each carnival will be invited to participate in a regional finalists’ carnival in August 2012 to decide the WAFC Year 10 Schoolboys Cup champion.COMPETITION COORDINATOR

WAFC Schoolgirls Cup (Year 10/11/12) - Nominate
The WAFC Schoolgirls Cup is entering its 17th year and is coordinated by the West Australian Football Commission and the Schoolgirls Advisory Committee.
COMPETITION FORMAT
- Five metropolitan regions - North West, North East, South West, South East and Peel
- 2 metropolitan divisions (Moore & White)
- The SAC reviews all nominations and reserves the right to change divisions to achieve a balanced competition
- Country Schools – All competitions/carnivals are coordinated by WAFC Development Officers. Schools will be advised of their allocated carnival days/s by the end of Term 1
LENGTH OF COMPETITION
- Played after school on Tuesdays in Term 2
- 2 x 20 minute halves. (Please refer to timeline)

ALISON MOORE DIVISION (A Grade)
Strong football schools seeking quality competition with games played across regions.
DEBBIE WHITE DIVISION (B Grade)
Teams are split into regional pools to play against other schools in their ‘local’ area. After the home and away games the top teams will progress to the finals.
VANDERWEIDE DIVISION
Only for schools who participate in ‘A’ section at Senior High Schools Country Week.

AFL SportsReady Schoolboys Cup (Year 11/12) - Nominate
This prestigious competition is entering its 25th year and is coordinated by the West Australian Football Commission and the Secondary School Football Advisory Committee.
COMPETITION FORMAT
- North West, North East, South West, South East, Peel and ACC. Each of the six metropolitan regions have divisions to cater for differing sizes or strengths of schools
- Divided into 3 divisions (Cable, Jakovich & Glendinning)
- The SSFAC reviews all nominations and reserves the right to change school’s divisions to achieve a balanced competition
- Country Schools – All competitions will be coordinated by their WAFC Development Officer. Schools will be advised of their carnival days/s by the end of Term 1
LENGTH OF COMPETITION
Games will be played in Term 2 after school on WEDNESDAYS 2 x 25 minute halves. (Please refer to timeline).

BARRY CABLE DIVISION (A Grade)
Strong football schools seeking quality competition with games played across regions.
GLEN JAKOVICH DIVISION (B Grade)
Schools of medium strength, seeking quality ‘local’ competition. Finals are played across regions.
ROSS GLENDINNING DIVISION (C Grade)
15-a-side competition specifically designed for schools entering the competition for the first time or schools with a limited football background. There are no finals in this division.
BILL WALKER DIVISION
Only for schools who participate in ‘A’ section at Senior High Schools Country Week.
