Patersons Stadium to host NRL blockbuster

Patersons Stadium will host the Round 21 NRL grand final rematch between the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and New Zealand Warriors on Saturday July 28, 2012.

Patersons Stadium General Manager Gavin Taylor said the venue was looking forward to hosting its very first rugby league game.

“This is an exciting event for Patersons Stadium and a great opportunity for WA rugby league fans,” Mr Taylor said.

“Patersons Stadium is keen to attract a variety of sports and concerts to showcase a range of events as part of being a multi-purpose stadium.

“We will cater for a wide audience at the NRL game with a range of general admission tickets through to suites, open boxes and corporate functions,” he said.

Live outside broadcast by ABC Drive

720 ABC Perth Drive will broadcast live outside Gate 8 at Patersons Stadium this Friday 27 April, before the Fremantle v Calrton Friday night blockbuster.

Presenter Russell Woolf and co-host Pete Rowsthorn will be on air live outside Patersons Stadium from 5-6pm and will host guests including musician Dave Faulkner from the Hoodoo Gurus, who will bring his guitar and sing a song or two.

Head down to Gate 8 on Subiaco Road to see them in action.


 

Assist with Stadium audio review

Patersons Stadium management is encouraging patrons to assist in identifying locations where the match-day audio system requires service, upgrade or replacement.

If patrons are experiencing any difficulties with hearing the audio system on match days they are encouraged to use the Stadium’s ‘SMS your SOS’ system to advise of their block and seat number. The contact number is 0408 602 464.

Patersons Stadium Enhances Match Day Experience

Patersons Stadium will introduce a new and improved match-day experience for patrons this football season with significant changes to retail outlet menus and new flat screen TVs being installed so fans don’t miss a minute of the action.

Patersons Stadium General Manager Gavin Taylor said the aim of the initiative was to create a higher quality experience overall for patrons on game day. 

“Food and beverage is a crucial part of any fan’s match-day experience and we are aiming to offer Perth’s best stadium food experience,” Mr Taylor said.

“As well as improvements to the quality and variety of food at our retail outlets, we are also installing flat screen TV’s so fans can watch the action while they wait. 

“In-seat servicing will offer products including pies, drinks and ice-creams to fans in their seats to make sure they do not miss a minute of the action.

“We are also setting up several ‘destination points’ where patrons can relax away from their seat at under cover tables and watch the game on new big screen TVs. 

“Overall we are placing an emphasis on improved variety and quality, which in turn leads to a greater experience overall for patrons,” he said.

Retail outlets will be rebranded with the new Food2Go Snacks Brand, including packaging and uniforms.

The new and improved product range will include menu items such as:

  • Double Beef Burger
  • Chicken Schnitzel Burger
  • Fresh Fish and Chips
  • Gourmet Grilled Hotdogs
  • New Chicken Roll
  • New Jumbo Sausage Roll
  • New Angus Beef Pie
  • Bigger Hot chips

Healthier options such as:

  • Sushi
  • Wraps
  • Sandwhiches
  • Fruit Salads

Wider variety of vendors including:

  • Eagle Boys Pizza
  • Boost Juices
  • Thai Takeaway
  • American Fast Food
  • Coffee Carts
  • Stuffed Spud
  • Floss and Pop – Lollies and Popcorn
  • Chicken Treat

Mobile food vending will see sales of the following products to seated fans:

  • Coca Cola products
  • Streets Icecream products
  • Four n Twenty Pies

Patersons Stadium continues to ensure that all food and beverage prices remain consistent with all stadiums across Australia by annually reviewing prices and setting them in-line with or below industry averages.

Mandurah NAB Cup sell out

Saturday’s NAB Cup game at Rushton Park in Mandurah between the West Coast Eagles and Port Adelaide has sold out, with all 9000 tickets purchased and none available at the gate on game day.

To avoid queues at the ground, patrons are urged to pick up their tickets prior to the match at any Ticketmaster outlet or at Mandurah City News.

Patrons are also reminded that chairs, eskies, and cameras with a 200mm or longer lens are not permitted into the venue as per entry requirements for an AFL fixture. Please be advised that strict bag checks will be in place on the day.
