Player Remuneration and Proposed Player Points System

The West Australian Country Football League recently released a discussion paper on a player remuneration and a proposed points system in a bid to assist Clubs.

After extensive research, new Football Operations Manager, Joe Georgiades said “the key points behind the document are to encourage discussion amongst leagues and clubs to ensure clubs continue to foster development pathways and do no place themselves at financial risk”.

Two leagues have already indicated they will introduce a points systems for the 2012 season, (Central Midlands Coastal Football League, South West Football League).

The WACFL views this is a positive step as Leagues and Clubs develop the game in their own backyards for their own needs.

The WACFL is committed to ensuring football remains strong across rural and regional Western Australia.
